Boots On the Ground Charity Fun Walk-Run 5K or 10k – Augusta, NJ 2026

The “ Boots on The Ground ” race consists of a 5k family-oriented, pet-friendly, fun walk or run, as well as a more demanding 10k run (twice around the 5k course) starting at 9:00 AM with an Honor Guard Salute. Hosted in incorporation by both Lt. Charles A. Meyer, American Legion Post 86, Newton, NJ, and Skylands Stadium, Augusta, NJ. The sports campus is perfectly suited for the race in that it is flat . The race route is primarily asphalt with some gravel or sand areas. Especially inside of the baseball field near the warning track. Lt. Charles A. Meyer, American Legion Post 86, a community-oriented post, serves veterans and their families by directly supporting local homeless veteran organizations, the Boy Scouts of America, local student academic grants, and donations to local first responders.
