The 5th Annual Run4Rare is set to return on May 16, 2026 at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater, NJ. This race is rain or shine. Aubrie Rowland is 7 year old Raritan resident attending Second Grade at Milltown Primary School in Bridgewater, NJ. She was born with an ultra-rare Mitochondrial Disease, Leukoencephalopathy with Ovarian Failure (LKENP). This condition is terminal and has no cure. This run is hosted by Aubrie's mom, Ashley Rowland who is the Co-Founder of CureARS. CureARS is a parent organization (founded by two mom's) supporting families and funding research that could lead to life-saving treatments for their children and others affected by mtARS disorders.
