*EVENTS ARE OPEN TO THE PUBLIC* Team Holloman is opening the gates and inviting our families and friends in Alamogordo and the surrounding areas to join us for an adrenaline-filled day of sportsmanship and competition. Are you ready for it? Whether you are a seasoned athlete or just starting your fitness journey, there is an event for everyone. Holloman Ace of Races offers four events: Marathon, Half Marathon, 5K and the Kids Dash. Join us and be a part of Holloman AFB's Ace of Races marathon! All proceeds from the registration will be put towards the Morale, Welfare, and Recreation fund that benefits Holloman AFB Airmen and their families. The course is nestled between the Sacramento Mountains and the glistening gypsum dunes of White Sands National Park, passing by points of Air Force history along the way . With only 52 to 65 feet of elevation gain, the race provides a uniquely flat course on paved roads, creating the perfect conditions for your first and/or fastest 26.2, 13.1 or 3.1 miler! With less than a mile to finish, run through our static aircraft and equipment on display, showcasing our unique mission. In a typical military cadence, the race ends with a "left, right, left" to closeout its last half mile. Remaining participants will be picked-up.
