The Sheyenne High School Track & Field Team is proud to host the 10th Annual Greg Grooters Memorial Run on the streets of West Fargo on Saturday, May 9, 2026. Greg Grooters passed away in 2016 after battling cancer. He was a dedicated teacher, coach, and administrator within West Fargo Public Schools. As the first principal of Sheyenne High School , Greg took great pride in establishing the school and building traditions that continue to shape its culture today. Greg was also an avid runner and passionate supporter of track and cross country. He participated in countless road races and coached the West Fargo and Moorhead High School track and cross country teams to State Championships. Beyond coaching, he loved following and supporting local track and cross country athletes. The Greg Grooters Memorial Run was established to honor Greg’s legacy and continue making a positive impact on Sheyenne students.
