ORRRC Darby Creek Bison 10k Trail Race 2026 — Galloway, OH

Darby Creek is the largest Metro Park with more than 7,000 acres of prairies, fields and forests, and more than 20 miles of riparian forest along the Big and Little Darby Creeks. The Darby creeks are noted nationally for their tremendous diversity and abundance of both aquatic and terrestrial plants and animals. More information on the park . RACE START TIME: 9:00 a.m. WHERE: Battelle Darby Creek Metropark 1775 Darby Creek Drive Galloway, OH 43119 (Cedar Ridge Parking Area) REGISTRATION: Registration is available to all through RunSignup prior to the race. Online registration remains open until approximately 15 minutes before race start and can be done in-person at the race. Hard copy registration sheets are also available on race day if needed. Minors may be registered on RunSignup by a parent or guardian or in-person with a parent or guardian present to sign the waiver. TRACK & CROSS COUNTRY TEAMS AND COACHES: Runners of all ages can preregister online using RunSignup (both ORRRC members and non-members). If you plan to bring a team of student athletes to this event without getting them preregistered online in advance, provide each student under age 18 with this Permission slip for groups of kids under 18 and have their parent or guardian sign it prior to race day. Coaches cannot sign this waiver for their athletes. Collect and bring the signed permission slips to the race day registration table. This will be extremely helpful to our registration volunteers, and we thank you in advance! CHECK-IN: All participants must check-in before the race and attach their assigned timing chip to one of their shoes. Look for the table with the green tablecloth to get your chip. We recommend you arrive at least one hour before the race to park, check in, and warm-up prior to the race start. FEES: All Current ORRRC Members Run for Free (Fee waived automatically when your RSU membership profile is used, or bring your card/proof of membership to the event) Non-Members: – $10 for ages 15 and up – Free for ages 14 and under Members, if you don't register through RunSignup, you absolutely MUST show proof of membership on race day to be eligible for the member fees! AWARDS: First Overall Male/Female, First Male/Female Masters (40 and over), First Grand Master Male/Female (50 and over), First Male/Female Senior (60 and over) – Recipients of overall awards are not eligible for age group awards. Age group categories : 9 and under (non-competitive, all finishers are winners), 10-14, 15-19, 20-24, 25-29, 30-34, 35-39, 40-44, 45-49, 50-54, 55-59, 60-64, 65-69, 70-74, 75-79, 80 & up. ANIMAL POLICY: Due to our insurance coverage, animals are not permitted at any ORRRC event. The only exception is service dogs, which must be clearly identified. Persons with any other animals will be removed from the event (will not be issued a timing chip, and will not appear in results or photos). We thank you in advance for your cooperation! RACE DIRECTOR: Jimmy Little DIRECTIONS: Directions From Columbus From I-270 take the West Broad Street (U.S. 40) exit west. Go about 5 miles on Broad Street and turn left onto Darby Creek Drive. The Cedar Ridge parking area (race start/finish) entrance is the 2nd park entrance heading south about 3 miles from U.S. 40. Directions From Dayton Area Take I-70 East to the Rt. 142 (Exit 85). Go south (right at the ramp) about 1.5 miles to Broad St. (U.S. 40) and go east (left at the first light). Travel about 2 miles to Darby Creek Dr. and go south (right). The Cedar Ridge parking area (race start/finish) entrance is the 2nd park entrance heading south about 3 miles from U.S. 40.
