From the Race Organizer
The First Annual Miles and Mortarboards 5K will be held on May 9, 2026 in Downtown Kingstree. The race will begin in the new Unity Park located on Main Street next to the Train Depot. Day of registration will begin at 8:00 AM and the first pace group will begin at 8:45 AM. Registration is $40 and includes timing and a t-shirt. Children under 12 are free but must be accompanied by an adult. The race route will run through our historic downtown, across HWY 52, into the Black River Gilland Park and return via the same route. Attendees are invited to check out the health and wellness vendors in the park and shop/dine our local downtown businesses after the race. Many stores will be hosting special events and/or sales on this day. All funds raised benefit the Williamsburg Technical College Foundation and help fund their mission to support the students, faculty, staff and community of Williamsburg Technical College.
