Thank you for your support! Our 2026 Miles for Michael events (In person and virtual) are SOLD OUT . NO SAME DAY REGISTRATIONS. Donations are still welcome. We'll see our runners and walkers on May 17. Michael W Leibowitz was always on the move. A fixture in the Charleston running community, he once participated in more than 70 races in a single year! Michael traveled across the globe for a good cause, bringing family and friends with him whenever they obliged. His motto, which he routinely shared accompanied by a photo on every trek, was “If I can do it, so can you.” Michael was tragically killed at age 71, along with his friend Christina Chung, in an accident in July 2024. His grandchildren, children, family, and friends wish to honor his memory with this annual event. Why 5.12 K?
