Yakima Mile is open to kids, families, dogs, veterans, elite runners, and all those who want to run their fastest mile…. EVER (or walk, or jog... as you like). The Elite Mile races bring together many of the fastest milers from around the nation in hopes of breaking the Fastest Mile in Washington – yet again – and taking home some big cash prizes. Competitive races are stacked across the board with cash prizes – the total purse for 2026 is over $60,000 .
