ASFPM CHAPTER 5K RUN/WALK – Milwaukee, WI 2026

The Wisconsin Association for Floodplain, Stormwater, & Coastal Management (WAFSCM) is excited to announce the annual Running of the Chapters 5K run/walk event at this year’s ASFPM National Conference. The race will be held on Wednesday June 3, 2026 at Veterans Park along the Lake Michigan shoreline in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. In the spirit of our upper midwestern politeness, we are calling this year's race "Ope! (lemme just squeeze right past ya there) 5k", or simply, "The Ope!" We once again welcome runners and walkers of all abilities. The scenic route through Veterans Park and along the Lake Michigan shoreline during the morning daybreak is a sight to behold. The race starts at 7:00 AM sharp! Participants will receive a race shirt, finisher medal, and additional goodies.
