Travel through six ecosystems at Maywood on this 3-mile trail walk at Maywood and learn all about the birds that call Maywood home! Along the way you'll find information stations, activities, and more. Enjoy refreshments at the end. A shorter prairie loop will also be available for those wanting a flat route. Start your walk on Saturday, June 20 anytime between 9 am and 11:15 am. The course closes at 12:30pm. This walk is not timed and encourages you to enjoy nature along the way. NEW FOR 2026: Open Door Bird Sanctuary will kick off our in-person walk with a presentation including live birds at 9am. From 10am-11am there will be time for a meet and greet with the birds.
