Started in 2011, the R(un) for One 5K is a family-friendly annual event where Lifeline Children’s Services' alumni families, friends, advocates, and community partners gather to raise awareness and support for vulnerable children around the world. Through Lifeline’s global orphan care ministry (GOC), children are being loved, equipped, and encouraged as they enroll in school, learn life skills, and hear the hope of the gospel. On Saturday, August 29th, runners from across the country will lace up for this life-changing cause. Whether you join us in Birmingham, AL or choose to Run Where You Are , your miles matter! In Birmingham , the race takes place at Veterans Park. It’s a fun-filled morning with bounce houses, food trucks, face painting, and activities for the whole family. We can’t wait to see you there! Prefer to run virtually? With our Run Where You Are option, you can participate from your neighborhood, a local trail, or even a treadmill—wherever you are! Virtual runners receive a race packet in the mail, including a T-shirt, and can run anytime on or before August 29th.
