Please come join the Annapolis Striders for a fun, low-key, kids program! Our Junior Striders participants work up to running a mile and will “graduate” by running the John Wall Memorial One Mile Track Run on Saturday, June 27th, 2026. Race registration must be completed separately. When & Where Practice will be Monday and Thursday nights, 6:30-7:15 PM, at the Bates Middle School track. May 18 & 21 May 28 June 1 & 4 June 8 & 11 June 15 & 18 June 22 & 25 Program Prerequisites Open to Annapolis Striders who are in elementary and middle school. Program Features The Junior Striders program implements games and activities designed to encourage youngsters and build the stamina required for a one mile run (4 laps around an athletic field track). The program is conducted assuming zero running experience and is designed to be fun and memorable while achieving the goal of completing their target run. Goals To complete a one mile race! Info & registration for the John Wall Mile on June 27th. Race registration is not included in the training. You must register for the race separately. Membership Requirement Annapolis Striders training programs are a free benefit for members. In order to participate in this training class, your child must be on your current Striders membership. You may become a member, or renew/update an existing membership online . Training coaches are not able to accept membership signups at training sessions.
