Celebrate the spirit of summer and community at the annual Firecracker 5K Fun Run and 1K Walk on Saturday, July 4, 2026! Whether you are a seasoned runner or just looking for a fun way to get outside with friends and family this event is the perfect way to kick off the day long Independence Day celebration. The course is family friendly, this year we are meeting at Ishpeming High School and will be using the Iron Ore Heritage Trail! Participants are encourage to show their patriotic pride by wearing your red, white and blue! Register by June 27, 2026 to guarantee your t-shirt. Day of registration is available at Ishpeming High School, Fourth Street gym entrance.
