A virtual challenge to cover the distance around Lake Norman! At 520 miles in perimeter, Lake Norman is the largest man-made body of fresh water in North Carolina. Grab a friend/family member/running buddy (or 2 or 3 or 4) or tackle it solo! Participants will all receive a race tee, finisher medal, and a pair of custom socks upon completion! New for 2024: We added an 800 mile option. The Double Lake option is a doozy, so we wanted to have a mid-range option for folks who wanted more than 520, but not quite double that. The challenge will take place from June 1 - August 31 and you can log running/walking miles, biking miles, swimming miles, and/or paddle or row miles. For individuals, you will cover all the miles yourself - running, biking, swimming, paddling, rowing or some combo of all! For teams, each member contributes.
