2026 Run the Galaxy 5K 2026 — Kent, OH

Saturday, July 18th at 6PM. UPDATE: 7-17-26 5:00PM We have reviewed the latest forecast and will continue to have this event. If the air quality changes, we will email with any changes. With concern for participants who may be especially sensitive to smoke and poor air quality, participants should consider their personal health needs when deciding whether to attend this event. Shirts, medals and bib numbers will be available for pick up from 5-6PM, if you decide not to run. In case of thunderstorms, we may move registration/ start/finish line / awards to the Shelter house. Race may be delayed due to severe weather. As of now, we plan on running this event on time. This years event will replace the annual Run That Shall Not Be Named 5 3/4 K Fun Run. The 5K will be hosted by Kent Parks and Recreation at 6:00pm at Fred Fuller Park and take runners on a loop though the Galaxy. Course will be mostly on the bike trail along the river. Registration is $30 from 3-10 through 6-14; $35 from 6-15 through 6-30; $40 from 7-1 through 7-18. All participants will receive a commemorative bib, t-shirt, and medal. Awards will be given to top finishers. Packet Pick up will be on Saturday (Race Day) from 5pm-6pm at Fred Fuller Park 601 Middlebury Rd, Kent, OH 44240. Late Registration will be available Day of Race from 5pm-6pm at Fred Fuller Park 601 Middlebury Rd, Kent, OH 44240. Back for another run: the Kids' Fun Run starts at 5:45pm at Fred Fuller Park for ages 12 and under. All kids' fun run participants will receive a race bib and t-shirt.
