Lace up for a 5K full of farmyard fun! Hosted on a working farm, the Crops & Cows Challenge Course winds you past the pumpkin patch, through shady woods, and down crop lanes and pasture trails. The course consists of over 20 obstacles offering the perfect balance of challenge for competitive racers while remaining family-friendly and achievable for everyone. Along the way, you’ll climb gates, tote feed sacks, hop pallets, twist and turn through the corn maze, scramble over round bales, splash through the creek, and discover plenty of surprises. It’s a muddy mix of adventure and laughs—perfect for anyone ready to play on the farm! The course is open to all ages, but children under age 8 must have an adult on the course with them. All runners who register by the early registration deadline of August 21st will receive an official race T‑shirt and medal. Registrations after that will be accepted for an increased rate and no shirt or medal will be guaranteed. All participants will go home with a small pumpkin. Organized by Fayette County Farm Bureau and hosted at South Plymouth Pumpkins/ Persinger Family Farms, the challenge course is a unique opportunity to connect the community with agriculture in an active and memorable way. Spectators are encouraged. The pumpkin barn will be open plus a coffee stand, food trucks, educational displays and seating will be available.
