2026 Walker Grand Prix Rules A walker must be a Tidewater Striders member in good standing at the time of the races and complete a minimum of 6 races. Races only count from date of membership forward. Any corrections should be emailed to the Grand Prix Chairman as soon as possible. Races are scored based on finish. 10 points for 1st, 8 for second, 6 for third, and etc. All finishers not in the top 5 will score 1 point (Note: You will earn the SAME amount of points no matter what distance you walk during any of the Distance Series races). You may sign up for both the Walking Grand Prix and the Running Grand Prix. If you sign up for a race as a walker you will only earn points in the Walking Grand Prix. If you sign up for a race as a runner, you will only earn points for the Running Grand Prix. Volunteering is required. To be eligible for awards in the Grand Prix, participants must volunteer at THREE Tidewater Striders supported events (e.g., Striders race, Adopt-a-Highway, etc. …). One
