The Marathon High Virtual Half-Marathon supports Marathon High, a free running and mentorship program that empowers high school students across Northeast Florida to build confidence, resilience, and lifelong healthy habits through training to complete a half marathon. Many of our participants are not traditional athletes, but through the support of dedicated coaches, adult running buddies, and their teammates, students discover strengths they never knew they had. Over the course of a 17-week season, students train using the proven Jeff Galloway run-walk-run method while learning the value of perseverance, teamwork, goal setting, and healthy living. Marathon High removes financial barriers to participation by providing race entry fees, hydration and nutrition support, running equipment, mentorship, and other essential resources at no cost to students or their families.
