Sickle Cell Awareness 5K Walk & Run Benefit – Harrington, DE 2026

Join us on April 11, 2026, at Harrington Parks and Recreation for the Sickle Cell Awareness 5K Walk & Run, a community-driven event dedicated to raising awareness, support, and funding for Sickle Cell research and advocacy. This event is deeply personal, as Sickle Cell Disease has directly affected my family—both my older sister and my nephew live with Sickle Cell—motivating my commitment to make a meaningful impact. This family-friendly event welcomes walkers, runners, and supporters of all ages and fitness levels. In addition to the 5K Walk & Run, we will host an on-site Blood Drive, recognizing the critical role blood donations play in the treatment and survival of individuals living with Sickle Cell Disease. Participants and spectators will have the opportunity to give the gift of life by donating blood during the event.
