OVERTIME is a 24-hour relay race taking place in Seattle, Washington on July 31, 2026. The event starts at 8:00 PM at 345 15th Ave E and is presented by HOKA. Teams rotate runners through a full day and night of racing, making it an endurance test that demands strategy around pacing, rest, and handoff coordination. Entry is $35.00 per person. This format suits runners and endurance athletes who thrive in team environments and want to experience continuous racing across multiple time zones of light and darkness. You'll need accommodation that supports pre-race rest and quick post-race recovery with flexible check-in/check-out options to accommodate the overnight race schedule.
From the Race Organizer
Welcome to the factory floor, where the work never stops and badass runners are made four miles at a time. An homage to the iconic round-the-clock relay races of the 1970s and 80s, OVERTIME is exactly what it sounds like—teams of 5 to 10 compete to see who can do the most laps in 24 hours. OVERTIME will begin at 8PM on Friday, July 31st and end 24 hours later at 8PM on August 1st. The course is roughly 4 miles around Windthrow in northern Capitol Hill. It is designed to keep racers safe throughout the night and we will have volunteers and staff making sure everything stays alright. We will have food, music and places to sleep in the store (on the note, we will not have enough sleeping bags and mats for everyone, so please bring your own if you can). We are teaming up with HOKA to make this race truly exceptional. Enjoy live sets from local bands and DJs. Racers will be treated to Rojos vegan burritos on Saturday and, like every year, will be subjected to "feats of strength" throughout the race for extra swag and bragging rights. This will likely be the best 24 hours of your life. Some amazing brands—Maurten and Knog—are also pitching in to keep our racers happy to make this experience unforgettable. BIG love to them! REGISTRATION INFO: Each entry costs $35, and you will be required to assemble or join a team at sign up. You are welcome to register your entire team at sign up or create a team for others to join. Your group size cannot exceed 10 people. There is technically no minimum size but we highly suggest having no fewer than 5 racers in your group. Pick a fun group name! TEAMS: We want to make it clear that you DO NOT need to assemble a team of 5 to 10 to race. If you show up solo, you will be placed on another team —likely one with less members to help balance things out. Do not let the lack of zany friends make you miss out on something like this. COURSE: The course is a clockwise ~4 mile loop around the shop, Volunteer Park and a few block east of the shop. Note that racers will NOT be going through the park as some of this race occurs late at night and we want everyone to be safe. The course will be well marked and we will have volunteers and staff making sure it stays that way. Despite our reputation for...gravity-heavy courses...this loop will be moderately flat. The start/finish line will be in front of Windthrow and you will be coming back to a welcoming environment on every lap 🙂 PRIZES: We are still hammering out exact prize packages but expect them to be our best yet! All racers will walk away with something as well—in addition to the unforgettable memories, of course. Come see the sunrise in motion. Now get to work!
