Dead Last Festival & Community Events serves as the kickoff to the inaugural Dead Last Ultra, a backyard ultramarathon where runners attempt to complete a 4.2-mile loop every hour until only one remains. Before the battle begins, we invite the entire community to experience the course, enjoy the farm, and spend the day with us. Set against the backdrop of Waters Farm, a beautifully preserved 1757 hilltop homestead overlooking Lake Manchaug, the festival brings together runners, families, local businesses, and spectators for a uniquely New England fall event. Whether you're running the loop, cheering on your kids, browsing local vendors, enjoying live music, or watching ultra runners begin their journey into the night, there's something for everyone.
