Fresh Legs XC Open & Fun Run 2026 — Lubbock, TX

**UPDATE on July 28th** 1. Bib pickup can be done on Friday from 6-7 pm at the pavilion located just North of the course. To get to it, you will either come through LCU's campus down Eileen Blvd or come from the east side by going up Chicago and then turning west into the LCU campus (map down below with pin). 2611 Frankford Ave is an address you can put in GPS to help guide you, but know the main entrance off of Frankford will likely be locked at that time. Bib pickup can also be done at the registration tent near the Finish line on race day. 2. Parking on race day: You can park in the main lot next to the clubhouse, or the lot back by the pavilion, or anywhere further back into LCU's campus if needed. If sign-ups hit a high enough number, I'll have them open the east gate as well. But for now, plan on entering from the clubhouse side or from the north side. 3. Medals will be awarded to overall and age group winners. To claim your medal, simply come by the registration tent after the race, and we will search your bib number and give your medal on the spot. No waiting until the end to read off awards. 4. Lastly, if registration numbers stay relatively low, we may combine ALL 1 milers into one event at 8:45 after the 3 mile. 5. I will send an email out to all registrants on Friday confirming some of the above information, but at least keep it on your radar and please message with any questions. What better way to welcome August than with a summer sendoff cross country event! This will be hosted at the incredible LCU Cross Country course, the same course where the Big 12 Championship and NCAA regionals have been run! There will be 3 races offered. There will be a traditional cross country 3 mile open to all ages 12+, an open 1 mile for all ages and ability levels (even walkers!), and a 1 mile that is only for kids age 11 and under. 100% of the proceeds from this event will go towards our Lubbock Area Elementary Running program. It must be completed by 7:30 a.m. on race day to receive a bib for chip timing. There's no limit on the number of participants. Bib pick-up location is still TBD. You will also be able to pick it up on race day up until 7:30. Course Map: See Below ** For the 3 mile, we will do the green loop first around the lake, and then do the final 2 miles. The course will be the same as pictured, though. Note that the 1 mile course will start next to the finish arch and will be 1 loop around the lake (the green line)
