The 1st annual Pisgah High School 5k Community Race can be characterized as a fairly easy trail run. It’s mostly on grass, with some gravel, and a very short paved section. It’s a great opportunity to give some easy off road running a try without lots of difficult terrain. The surrounding hill and countryside will be the backdrop, making a picturesque autumn run on mostly level turf for this area. This event is open to all abilities and proceeds benefit Pisgah High School Cross Country . Do something good for yourself and for high school athletes! Registration for Kids’ 1 Mile Fun Run will be the day of the event. It will be $5/child (cash only) and a parent is welcome to run alongside. Finishers will receive a ribbon awarded at the finish line. Start time will be at 8:40am. Entries are limited and prices will increase periodically before race day, so be sure to sign up early!
