More than a race, the Día de Muertos 5K will be a celebration inspired by the traditions, colors, music, food, and culture surrounding Día de Muertos — the Day of the Dead. The 5K will take runners and walkers through the natural surroundings of Pepper Ranch, creating a unique Southwest Florida race experience before returning to a finish-line celebration filled with Día de Muertos-inspired activities and entertainment. Timing & Awards The Día de Muertos 5K will be professionally chip timed. Overall Awards — Gun Time Awards will be presented to the top three overall male and female finishers: 1st Place | 2nd Place | 3rd Place Age Group Awards — Chip Time Awards will be presented to the top three male and female finishers in each age group: 0–9 | 10–19 | 20–29 | 30–39 | 40–49 | 50–59 | 60–69 | 70+ Overall awards will be determined by gun time, while age group awards will be determined by chip time.
