The Apex Skin Towpath Freedom 5k serves to honor our United States veterans for their service, as well as to commemorate the completion of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail within Summit County. This event raises funds for the continued development and enhancement of the Ohio & Erie Canal Towpath Trail, Connector Trails, and National Heritage Area. The Apex Skin Towpath Freedom 5K is proud to be a part of the Akron Promise Neighborhood Race Series. It will start at Summit Lake. Event Details Race date: Saturday, November 7, 2026 Race start: 9:00 a.m. All finishers receive a commemorative Finisher Medal!
