Join us for the SHRM Washington DC Charity 5K , a community-focused race uniting runners, walkers, and supporters for a morning of movement, connection, and impact. While our primary mission is to raise vital scholarship funds for the SHRM Foundation , supporting initiatives that build better, more inclusive workplaces and empower workforce development, our early November timing brings a special seasonal theme of giving. In addition to supporting education, this year's event features a Gratitude and Veterans Appreciation Drive. Participants are invited to bring a new pack of warm thermal socks or stop by our race-day station to write a handwritten note of thanks for local veterans at the Washington DC VA Medical Center. Race shirts are only guaranteed if you are registered by October 25. Virtual 5K: $50 through September 25 $55 September 26 through October 23 ** Virtual Registration will close on October 23 at midnight. Strict Course Rules (Strollers & Dogs): To ensure participant safety, strollers, pets/dogs, bicycles, and inline skates are strictly prohibited on the course during the event. Race morning, we will celebrate a morning of Gratitude and Veterans Appreciation. Participants are encouraged to bring a warm pair of socks and/or write a card to local Veterans from the Washington DC VA Medical Center. We will also be accepting donations to support the SHRM Foundation.
