The A.M.Y. Wellness Foundation YMCA of Mitchell County will be hosting our first annual Turkey Trot 5K and 1-mile Fun Run. Join us for our First Annual Turkey Trot 5K, a fun and festive community event for all ages and fitness levels! Whether you’re running for a personal best, walking with family, or pushing a stroller, this is a great way to kick off the holiday season together. Hosted by the YMCA of Mitchell County, this event is about more than just the finish line—it’s about bringing our community together in the spirit of gratitude, health, and giving back. Participants are encouraged to come dressed in their favorite Thanksgiving-themed attire—turkeys, pilgrims, and fall colors are all welcome! Along the course, you’ll experience the beauty of our local community while enjoying a supportive and encouraging atmosphere. Event Highlights: 5K run/walk open to all ages and abilities A 1-mile fun run course Awards for top finishers and best costume Post-race refreshments and community fellowship All proceeds support YMCA programs that strengthen our community, including youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility initiatives right here in Mitchell County.
