HGF’s 14th Annual 5K Run & Walk for Kids’ Growth – Atlanta 2026 — Atlanta, GA

Join the Human Growth Foundation (HGF) in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology of Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta and be part of a GROWing solution! This event brings together families, clinicians, and community supporters to celebrate resilience and raise vital funds for resources that support children with rare growth disorders. This year’s event, held in collaboration with the Department of Endocrinology at Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta , features a certified 5K course, giveaways, family activities, health resources, and post‑race festivities. What to expect Certified 5K course through scenic Atlanta routes Kids’ Fun Run and family activities Health and resource fair hosted by Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta Awards, music, and post‑race refreshments This community-friendly and leashed-dog-friendly event takes you through the beautiful and historic area of Piedmont Park. Designed for runners and non-runners alike, it encourages the highest level of community involvement. Participants can run or walk the 5K course—families and strollers are welcome! All Ages & Walks of Life Encouraged to Participate! Each registered participant receives: ✅ Finisher Medal ✅ Event T-Shirt ✅ Food & Refreshments 🏃‍♂️ RACE DAY SCHEDULE - RAIN or SHINE 🏃‍♀️ 🕖 7:30 AM – Race Day Registration & Packet Pickup 🕢 8:00 AM – Pre-Race Warm-Up 🕗 8:15 AM – 5K Run/Walk Starts 🏅 Awards Ceremony to follow after all participants return. 🎶 Live Entertainment, Food, and Refreshments will be available throughout the event. 🎟 Raffle Prizes, Display Booths, and Giveaways will be distributed during the event. 🕙 10:30 AM – Event Ends ⏱ This event will be officially timed using conventional timing methods, and the course is paved. 🛡️HEALTH & SAFETY HGF and Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta are committed to a safe, inclusive event. We will follow current public‑health guidance and provide accessible course options for participants of all abilities. 🔥 HEAT WARNING Atlanta temperatures/humidity can be high. To stay safe, please: ✔ Drink plenty of fluids (non-alcoholic) for 48 hours before, during, and after the race. ✔ Watch for heat-injury symptoms: dizziness, no sweating, nausea, cramps, redness, incoherent speech or thoughts. ✔ Seek immediate assistance if symptoms occur. ✔ Wear loose, light-colored clothing for comfort. 🚫 CANCELLATION POLICY Race Management reserves the right to postpone or cancel the event due to circumstances beyond its control (e.g., natural disasters or emergencies). No refunds will be issued under these circumstances. Management may also alter the course and distances for safety reasons. 📸 PHOTOS & VIDEO Professional photographers and videographers will be capturing the event. By registering for the 5K Run & Walk for Kids' Growth, you consent to having your photo or video taken and used for HGF promotional purposes. 🏆 AWARDS Awards will be given to the fastest male and female in each age category: 🔹 10 years and under 🔹 YOUTH 🔹 MEN - ADULT 🔹 WOMEN - ADULT 🌟 WHY PARTICIPATE?
