Wild Watermelon 3k – Melbourne, FL 2026

There is a one hour cut off for all runners. You will be escorted off the course is you do not finish the course by 8:30am Brevard Zoo's Wild Watermelon 3k is a family-friendly event and great way to kick off your summer! Runners and walkers of all ages will traverse a course through the Zoo passing animals, their habitats and native plants along the way. The event features a post-race watermelon feast, with slices of fresh, chilled watermelon courtesy of our presenting partner, the Florida Watermelon Association! The run is set for a 7:30 a.m. start on June 20, 2026. A water/Gatorade station is along the route and at our start and finish line areas. Prizes will be awarded to the Top 10 overall male and female finishers, and ALL finishers will receive a beautiful watermelon-themed medal and commemorative running hat.
