Allerton Park Trail Run – Monticello, IL 2026

Second Wind Running Club welcomes you to the Allerton Park Trail Run! Let's hit the trails! A good portion of the 5.7-mile course follows the Sangamon River which has proven quite challenging over the years. Runners may find hidden roots, ruts, sharp turns, and other obstacles. We donate a portion of the proceeds back to Allerton Park for trail maintenance or park enhancements. Our donations have been used towards a railing at a dangerous spot, trail erosion control, recycle bins, water fountain bottle filling station, a new café in the visitor's center, and more. We feel quite fortunate that the park allows us to bring so many into it and pound the trails! Can't join us on race day 10/25/26? Sign-up for the VIRTUAL option instead!
