It is presented by the Evansville Wartime Museum, the P-47 Foundation and the Evansville Regional Airport with our title sponsor, the Liberty Federal Credit Union. How exciting it will be to run on our airport runway!!!! Take off on Saturday, May 2, 2026 for the 2026 5K on the Runway presented by the title sponsor, Liberty Federal Credit Union, benefiting the Evansville -47 Foundation, Inc. giving runners a unique view of the airport and the Evansville Wartime Museum, while having fun and supporting a great, local organization. At 9am join hundreds of runners and walkers as they take off from the Evansville Wartime Museum with supporters cheering everyone along. The route will take you along the Evansville Regional Airport runways, taxiways, and ramps, while catching a glimpse at the Air Traffic Control Tower and the Airport Safety Department. You will see the Evansville built P-47 Thunderbolt, “Hoosier Spirit II," as well as the 1943 Chrysler M4AF Sherman Tank, “Rosie’s Revenge.” You
