The 1000 Mile BikeWalk for Prevention — Halloween Edition — launches on Halloween morning — October 31, 2026 at Morristown Landing. Check-in and new registrations open at 8:00 am, with the first events starting at 9:00 am. Costumes and bike decorations are highly encouraged. Teams, too. Family-friendly pricing applies. The " Spooktacular " 1000 Miler is a regional fun ride/walk/run for kids, teens, adults... the whole family... to enjoy a fun and healthy morning while helping a good cause. I Not a timed race, the travel distance reported by every participant will be accumulated toward the event goal of 1000 miles. The Central Course is a spectator-friendly one-mile per lap loop on closed roads, offering walkers, runners and rider healthy fun for families and kids. Three laps = 5K. Start - Finish will be at Morristown Landing, The Open Road Bike route of 5 miles per lap for experienced riders offers a variety of terrain and real life road challenges. New, Off-Road Extension Added ! FREE! Riders, walkers and runners can add the new off-road extension to any route (except Jr. BikeWalker). Add about ½ mile of challenging distance to your chosen route for any number of loops. The 1/2 mile Jr. BikeWaker route for kids, grandparents, etc. circles the Landing property on sidewalks only. Multiple laps are encouraged for all events to build mileage and allow spectators to see more action. Prizes will be awarded in each of several classifications for the greatest distance travelled during the several hour event. Teams and groups hat fund raise independently will be awarded bonus mileage based on their donations to the event on or before event day. Registered virtual BikeWalkers may sleep in and still partipate in the event by registering online. BikeWalk Morristown, TN — the organization — was founded to support those who like to bike, e-Bike, walk, run, etc. and want to share their active lifestyle with others.
