The Annual 5K Family Fun Day will take place on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026, at Jungle Island's special event area 1111 Parrot Jungle Trail, Miami, Fl 33132. Join us for a serene yet invigorating 5K run as the sun paints the sky in shades of gold and crimson. This isn't just a race; it's an experience designed to boost your energy, clear your mind, and start your day with a sense of wonder. Run, walk, or jog along the blissful route as your first rays of light guide your stride. Bring your family along to enjoy this joyful wellness experience in the company of your county family! This event is open to all ages and fitness levels; please see the anticipated timeline below: 7:00 am: Experienced runners start 7:30 am: General race opens 9:00 am: Race Start closes 10:00 am: Awards Ceremony for Age Group winners At the completion of the run/walk, employees and their families will be able to join our community partners and merchant groups with giveaways, prizes, and lots of valuable information. Shopping Area with treats and groovy seasonal merchandise to celebrate the fall holiday season! Some of the event highlights: Celebrate our 5K racers and I Thrive Anniversary Entertainment from Creative Entertainment Group Food and refreshments Access into Jungle Island at the end of the 5k to keep the fun going! Giveaways, contests and more Registration Closes on October 3rd, 2026 *T-shirt sizing and complete race day packet cannot be guaranteed to those who register after September 1st, 2026. Note: This will be an in-person event and all participants in attendance are recommended follow all applicable County and State guidelines.
