The Epilepsy Association is excited to be at the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo hosting its annual race. Outrace Epilepsy! is the new name for the event, previously know as Race the River . Join us for our 10K and 5K courses as well as a 1-mile fun walk/run through the beautiful zoo. The races will begin around 8:30AM. Online registration closes at 9AM on Friday, August 14. Day of registration fees will increase by $5. After the race, the fun doesn't have to end! All-day admission to the Cleveland Metroparks Zoo is included with your Outrace Epilepsy! registration! ALL runners, walkers, and spectators wanting to come cheer on runners/walkers will need to register on this site to enter the zoo, even if you are a zoo member. Tickets purchased on the zoo's website will not be valid until 10:00am when the zoo opens. Pre-Registration Fees: 10K- $45.00* 5K- $35.00* 1-Mile- $25.00* Kids 5 & under can spectate or participate in the 1-mile for free. *all registration fees will increase by $5 if you sign up in-person the morning of the race. Kids 5 and under still get in free. Please consider adding the official Outrace Epilepsy! hat for only $15! No shipping or other fees, you will get the hat when you check in at the race. To collect donations, you must click "Become a Fundraiser" on the donation page during registration. You can even make a custom URL to easily share your personal fundraising page! 2.Set your goal: We suggest $500 for individuals and $2,000 for teams. Those who raise $250+ earn an exclusive Outrace Epilepsy! prize (shipped after event) Those who raise $500+ get the exclusive prize and their race registration fee re-funded back to them. You can also write a bio about why epilepsy awareness is important to you and add pictures to your page. 3. Collect Donations: Get sponsored for your run! Ask friends, family, and co-workers to sponsor you per mile. This is an easy way to get others involved and to quickly reach your personal fundraising goal. We will have awards and prizes for the individual who raises the most donations, the team that raises the most donations, and the team with the most members.
