2026 Palmer Park Event Series: 8K, 5K, 1 Mile Run & Walk Sunday, June 14th 2026 Welcome Home Wellness Alliance is proud to present our 5th Annual Palmer Park 8K, 5K & 1 Mile Run & Walk Event Series + Outdoor Yoga. This annual pride-themed event is in support of the People for Palmer Park, a local non-profit organization, committed to furthering the preservation, revitalization, and viability of Palmer Park, and Ruth Ellis Center, our neighbors dedicated to providing trauma-informed services for lesbian, and gay, bi-attractional, transgender and questioning (LGBTQ+) youth, and young adults, with an emphasis on young people of color, experiencing homelessness, involved in the child welfare system, and/or experiencing barriers to health and wellbeing. Please join us for a community celebration of running, yoga, Pride Month and uplifting neighborhood Detroit Parks on Sunday, June 8th!
