Join us for the 2026 Race 4 Independence. This is a 5K walk/run and a 2.5K walk/run. This event will also have several options for a 2.5K walk/run/stroll for people with disabilities (wheelchair, assisted walking, and low-vision). The League's mission is to provide and promote opportunities to allow people with disabilities to achieve their full potential. We strive to help people with disabilities remain independent or achieve independence. The League was established in 1950. We have been serving people with disabilities for over 75 years. There are over 90,000 people with disabilities in Fort Wayne and another 22,000 in the surrounding counties. As the need for services and programs grows, The League steps up to the challenge.
