RACE INFO- The race is July 4th, 2026 MAKE SURE TO RUN WITH A FLAG! 1st, 2nd, and 3rd for those carrying a full standard size American flag. Each runner will receive a t-shirt and finisher medal! (Food, drinks, music, aid stations, and timing will all be included) Post your race photos on the Flag Run 5k Facebook page or use #FlagRun5k! Proceeds go to the Boerne Fire Department! Several years ago, my dad and his friend started a yearly run on July 4th, getting a group of people together to run throughout the town with American flags. When I ran with them I would think, “Why not make a 5k out of this?” That was the beginning of the Flag Run 5k, and we’ve been dedicated to making this race happen ever since. Within the last few years, this event was made possible through all of our helpful sponsors, racers, and the community as a whole. Last year we had over 350 runners and this year we are planning to host 500+ runners
