8th Annual Rockaway Beach Triathlon/Duathlon – Rockaway Beach, NY 2026

Race Start Time and Location: Oh, how we love our Rockaway Beach! We are back once again in the iconic Rockaway Beach in Queens for our 7th Annual Rockaway Beach Triathlon/Duathlon on 9/13! Unlike our May edition of the race, the weather and the water temperature is most optimal! With a gorgeous ocean view and smooth, concrete boardwalk, it makes for a great running and biking course. As this is an open water event in the Atlantic, the swim can sometimes be challenging with big waves, strong currents. Wetsuits are optional since the water temperature is still warmer around this time. Here is what you can expect on race day: Race start is 7:30AM sharp at the transition area by the B95th Street Rockaway Beach Amphitheater. Triathletes will head to the beach for their swim start by the B91st Street beach ramp.
