Bluffton Firefighter Foundation 9/11 25th Anniversary Memorial 5K Run/Walk Saturday, September 12, 2026 | Bluffton, SC Run for those who run toward danger. On September 12, 2026, the Bluffton community will come together to honor the 25th anniversary of September 11 and support the firefighters who continue to answer the call every single day. This isn’t just a race. It’s a tribute. A remembrance. A commitment to the people who protect our community when life is at its worst. Hosted by the Bluffton Firefighter Foundation in partnership with Palmetto Running Company, this inaugural Memorial 5K will raise funds for the Firefighter Emergency Fund — providing direct support to local firefighters and their families during times of injury, illness, and unexpected hardship. Because emergencies don’t only happen on the clock. Last year, the Foundation helped support one of Bluffton’s own during a serious medical crisis, covering essential household expenses while he focused on recovery. Today, he’s back on the line serving our community. That’s the impact of this event. Whether you run, walk, sponsor, donate, or cheer from the sidelines, you are helping build a safety net for the people who never hesitate to protect us. Join us as we remember the fallen, honor the brave, and show up for our own. All participants will receive a commemorative race shirt & finishers medal. Trophies to overall winners and a special award for the top in in each age group. 12U, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, 70-79, 80+ Packet Pick Up will be Friday September 11th, 3-6PM at Palmetto Running Company in Bluffton.
