Join us as we celebrate Ryan with the 6th Annual “All Rise for Ryan’s Run for Recovery” on Saturday, September 5 @ 8:00 AM. Known to some as Ryan and others as Judge Johanningsmeier, he is remembered for the passion he brought to building a stronger community in Knox County. Ryan established the Knox County Drug Court almost immediately after becoming Judge of Superior Court 2 in 2015, fulfilling a campaign promise. As Judge he ensured that all parties in his courtroom were treated with fairness and respect. He worked tirelessly towards community improvement and motivated others to work towards a common goal. The Knox County Drug Court program has served more than 200 participants, significantly improving the hope and expectation for recovery in our community. He loved his role as a Drug Court Judge and the opportunity it gave him to guide people from a life of crime in addiction toward a life of recovery.
