Autism Awareness 5k – Wheeling, WV 2026

April is Autism Awareness month. This run / walk is to bring awareness to the many people with Autism Spectrum Disorder and raise money for supports and sensory enhancements for self-contained, autism classes in Ohio County Schools. The race begins at 5:30 PM on Friday, April 24th 2026. *Same day registration begins at 4:00PM on race day. *This is an out and back 5k beginning and ending at Wheeling Middle School in Wheeling, WV. *Top 5 male and female in both runner and walker divisions will receive an award. *$30 race fee for early registration and guaranteed shirt when registration is completed by April 8th 2025. *Same day and late registration will be $35 with t-shirts at a first come first served basis. There will be music, food and drinks for all participants. The race will be chip timed by Miles of Smiles Timing Service. This year we are adding a virtual option with a $35 registration fee. We will ship your shirt to you. No awards or official timing for the virtual option.
