Bands on the Run 5K – Mc Lean, VA 2026

Join the band directors from Langley HS and Cooper MS, students, families, and the community on Sunday, April 26 for our annual Bands on the Run 5k, starting at 8:00 a.m. Run the race like a pro or walk the course with a friend! The race begins at Langley High School (6520 Georgetown Pike, McLean, VA 22101), winds through the neighboring community of Langley Oaks, and finishes back up at the high school. This annual 5K is a fundraiser and a community-building event in support of the award-winning band programs at Cooper Middle School & Langley High School. Funds raised through this event benefit both fast-growing programs, providing such things as: *Professional sectional teachers *Guest clinicians *The repair and replacement of instruments, equipment and uniforms *Scholarship funds for students in need to participate in band events We greatly appreciate the generosity of the local community to help us provide an exceptional music education experience for our area students.
