Caloosa Crank Fest is back! Whether you're lining up for your first MTB event, chasing a podium, testing yourself against the clock, or just looking for a different way to experience the trails at Caloosahatchee Regional Park, there's a way to ride Crank Fest. Caloosa Crank Fest turns the trails of Caloosahatchee Regional Park into a multi-stage MTB time trial that blends XC speed with enduro-style strategy. Competitive riders race the clock one rider at a time through timed stages, recover during untimed transitions, then line up and do it all over again. Casual Crank provides an untimed, non-competitive way to experience the event with access to the full three-stage course. Novice and Adaptive MTB racers take on a two-stage timed course that bypasses the advanced terrain of Far East, while Sport , Elite , and Class 1 eMTB racers complete all three timed stages. This isn't a mass-start sufferfest and it isn't just another lap race. Pick your lines, manage your effort, ride within your ability, and see how your combined stage times stack up when the dust settles. Whether you're trying something new, racing your riding buddies, pushing for a podium, or just coming out to be part of the action, Caloosa Crank Fest is your chance to experience CRP a little differently. Casual Crank offers an untimed option, while Novice, Sport, and Elite provide a progression based on racing experience, fitness, and comfort on technical trail. Adaptive MTB provides a dedicated two-stage competitive category, while Class 1 eMTB follows the full three-stage race format with additional equipment requirements. Casual Crank — Untimed / Non-Competitive For riders who want the Crank Fest experience without racing the clock. Participants have access to the full three-stage event course and may choose whether or not to ride Stage 2 / Far East. Ride the staged event format, challenge yourself, and enjoy the atmosphere without the pressure of official competition. No official timing, race results, or podium placement. A great option for riders who want to participate, ride with a purpose, and experience Crank Fest at their own pace. Novice Designed for newer racers and riders looking for an approachable introduction to the Crank Fest format. A great fit for riders who want to challenge themselves without taking on the advanced terrain of Far East. Completes two timed stages , bypassing Far East. Eligible for Novice results, awards, and podium placement. Sport Designed for experienced riders who want a competitive race without stepping into the Elite field. A great fit for strong recreational riders, developing racers, and experienced riders looking to test themselves against the clock. Completes all three timed stages , including Far East. Eligible for Sport results, awards, and podium placement. Elite Built for experienced racers and riders looking to compete at the highest level. Best suited for riders comfortable maintaining an aggressive race pace across CRP's technical terrain. Completes all three timed stages , including Far East. Eligible for Elite results, awards, and podium placement. Adaptive MTB (aMTB) A competitive, officially timed category for riders using adaptive mountain bikes. Adaptive MTB racers complete two timed stages , bypassing the advanced terrain of Far East. The Adaptive MTB course follows the same general two-stage race format used by the Novice field. Because adaptive bike designs, dimensions, and rider needs can vary, riders who are interested but unsure whether the course is a good fit are encouraged to contact event staff.
