A community event presented by Wilton Pride & Wilton Library Join Wilton Pride and Wilton Library for the Third Annual Come Out & Run 5K celebrating PRIDE, diversity, inclusivity, and the spirit of unity in honor of National Coming Out Day. All are welcome to this community-wide, family friendly, pet friendly, event fostering camaraderie, empowerment, and most importantly, support for our LGBTQIA+ community members and allies. Part 5K, part community party, the event will feature music, festivities, food, flare, prizes, and much more. Runners, Walkers, Kids, Strollers, and Leashed Dogs are welcome. Kids under 10 participate for free, but still need to register. All 5K participants will receive a giveaway, digital race photos, post race festivities, and more! To qualify for the prize and ultimate bragging rights, your heels must be at least 3 inches tall. Want an extra edge? Show your pride! Runners clad in Pride attire will score preferred placement right at the front of the starting line. Rules of the Runway: Registration: Must be registered for the 5K. Age: Must be 18+ years of age. Stilettos Only: Wedge or block-style heels are not permitted if you want to win. Race staff has the final call on heel eligibility! Bring your own heels: To win the grand prize, heels must be 3 inches or taller. Race staff have final approval. Pro-Tip: Taping your heels to your feet is highly encouraged.
