Conquering with Canaan 5K Saturday, April 25, 2026 9:00 am Corwin-Nixon Park, Mason, OH Canaan Joseph Foundation is a non-profit organization with a goal of helping families with children diagnosed with Congenital Heart Disease. Every 15 minutes a child born is being diagnosed with a congenital heart disease, the # 1 birth defect in children. On average, 40,000 children born are diagnosed with CHD. With the size of a walnut, many newborns undergo open-heart surgeries in the first few days of their life. It is a world-changing and heart-wrenching journey the loved ones of the child must face. There is no cure for it, only a temporary fix. This means these children go numerous heart surgeries during their lifetime. Many do not make it beyond their first year. Needless to say, one of the hardest battles the loved ones fight along with their little heart warrior.
