The COVE 5K Run/Walk and 10K Run begin and end at Charles Mears State Park. All of the races will be officially timed by Runners Edge Race Timing. The 5K Run/Walk race route includes a combination of pavement, dirt road, with a 1/2 mile on the beach to the finish line. Participants may get their feet wet if it is a windy day with high waves on Lake Michigan. The 10K Run route will be on local streets and pavement until the runners reach the beach at Duna Vista. The race route then extends for 2.5 miles on the beach along Lake Michigan. Participants may be their feet wet if it is a windy day with high waves.
