After a short reprieve, the Cpl. Christopher G. Scherer Memorial Run/Walk is back!! On Saturday of Memorial Day Weekend, the Gridz of East Northport will once again become the home of the “I DID THE GRID” Run/Walk. Beginning at Pulaski Elementary School, runners and walkers will round the course’s turns with the names of four service members on their bibs. You may notice a new logo, and a new course distance, but the heart of this event remains unchanged: Honor the Fallen. Support the Troops. Registration is now open, and we invite runners, walkers, families, and supporters to join us for this meaningful community tradition. Held in memory of Marine Christopher G. Scherer, this event brings our community together to remember those who made the ultimate sacrifice while supporting veterans, service members, and military families. Each step taken on race day helps carry forward Christopher’s legacy of service, courage, and commitment to others. Whether you run, walk, volunteer, or cheer f
