D-Day Dash 10K/5K/Fun Run (Ranger Memorial Triad) – El Paso, TX 2026

On 6 Jun 1944 US Army Rangers of the 2nd Ranger Battalion led by Lieutenant Colonel James E. Rudder scaled the 90-foot cliffs of Point du Hoc under heavy machine gun fire. Meanwhile, the 1st and 5th Ranger Battalions landed at Omaha Beacn, where intense resistance intitally pinned down the assault; Brigadier General Norman Cota famously urged them forward with the line "Rangers, lead the way!" Despite suffering heavy casualties, the Rangers siezed their objectives and established a foothold, which would lead to the eventual liberation of Europe from Nazi occupation, and victory over Hitler's Third Reich. And in every conflict since that day, the Rangers have lived the motto coined in battle: RANGERS LEAD THE WAY! The D-Day Dash honors that legacy. The D-Day Dash is part of the Ranger Memorial Triad.
