Death By A Mile Saturday, February 13th 2027 — Sam Houston Park Get ready for one of the most mentally and physically challenging races around. Death By A Mile kicks off at 8:00 AM and doesn’t stop until there’s only one man and one woman left standing. If you can’t—or won’t—finish your mile in the given time window, you’re out. Prizes go to the final male and female standing. Space is limited to the first 100 people who register—don’t wait! The Format: It’s just one mile.... Right? 8:00 AM – 9:00 AM : Run 1 mile every 30 minutes 9:00 AM – 11:00 PM : Run 1 mile every 20 minutes 11:00 PM – 1:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 15 minutes 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 12 minutes 3:00 PM – 5:00 PM: Run 1 mile every 10 minutes 5:00 PM - 7:00 PM Run 1 mile every 8 minutes 7:00PM Every 6 minutes until only two runners remain (one man and one woman) Course Info: The loop starts and ends at the large pavilion near the boardwalk at Sam Houston Park.
