Ahoy, mateys! Get ready to lace up your running shoes and join the Dover Pirates Basketball teams for their 2nd Annual "Run the Plank" 5K fundraiser! This exciting event is crucial in supporting our dedicated boys' and girls' basketball programs, from the spirited 7th graders all the way up to our hardworking high school athletes. Every stride you take and every dollar you donate directly impacts our young athletes. The funds raised will help cover essential costs like: • Skill-building camps: Giving our players the opportunity to hone their talents and learn new techniques. • Travel expenses : Ensuring our teams can compete in various tournaments and represent Dover with pride. • Tournament fees: Allowing our Pirates to face off against diverse competition and gain valuable experience. • Essential gear: Providing our athletes with the equipment they need to perform their best safely. • Game-day snacks: Keeping our players energized and focused during practices and games. • Senior Night activities: Celebrating the dedication and achievements of our graduating seniors. Whether you're a seasoned runner, a casual walker, or just want to support a great cause, your participation makes a world of difference. Can't make it to the race but still want to contribute? All donations are welcome and greatly appreciated! Packet Pick up will be the day of the race from 5:30-6:45a CST with the 5k starting promptly at 7a. The kids fun run will take place after the 5k at 8:15a and Overall awards will follow. We will have Overall Awards for both men's and women's Runners and Walkers divisions 1st, 2nd, 3rd place. *Registration will end on 9/10 @11:59p CST get registered early to be guarantied a shirt and medal, there will be same day registration that morning from 5:30a-6:30a CST for $40.
